Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters Festival is super excited to announce the return of local legend Newton Faulkner as we welcome him back to celebrate thirty years of Boardmasters!

Faulkner is one of the UK’s best-loved homegrown stars and has a devoted fan base amongst the like-minded UK surfers of the South West. Having first hit Boardmasters in 2007 as the main support to Seasick Steve and returning in 2010 to co-headline the main event, which lead to roadblock sell out. It is only right that the king of folk-rock returns for an exclusive intimate Beach Sessions show on Thursday 11^th August at Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters Festival – the place where it all began for him!

Newton will performing classics such as Dream Catch Me, Gone in the Morning and Tear Drop from his best selling album Hand Built By Robots, one of the top 20 biggest selling UK digital albums of all time. Faulkner has been busy in the studio working on the release of his third album and is thrilled to be celebrating with surf fans for 30 years of the Boardmasters.
Newton Faulkner adds in to an already jam packed line up of artists at this year’s festival, including amongst many, dance music pioneer Fatboy Slim, female of the moment Eliza Doolittle alongside Bombay Bicycle Club and the super electro charged producer Krafty Kuts all set to make the UK’s premier surf, skate and music festival THE best festival line-up of the summer!

Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters is Europe’s only surf, skate and music festival offering the ultimate in World Class surf and music. Set over two locations Boardmasters 2011 brings some exciting new additions.

As a celebration of 30 years of surfing at Fistral Beach the event has upgraded its Men’s ASP surf event to a 6 star event which will bring the best up and coming surfers on the planet to the festival.

In a move to represent all aspects of surfing, Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters will introduce longboarding – including a 3 Star Men’s ASP event and 6 Star Ladies ASP event. With these new and upgraded events, Boardmasters will invest in its core surfing heritage and truly represent surfing as a whole.

The legendary music and action sports festival now in its tenth year is pleased to announce its full 2011 line up so far. Featuring some of today’s hottest musical talent across five stages including a Drum & Bass arena and Kerrang live stage feauring the likes of Tinie Tempah, Sub Focus Live, Nero, Modestep, Ms Dynamite, Labrinth, Cerebral Ballzy, Millencolin, Dot Rotten and many many more.

With five epic stages and its infamous action sports showcases featuring some of the world’s best athletes competing in International Skateboarding and BMX Competitions at the festival, Relentless Energy Nass Festival is truly in a league of it’s own.

Some of the best skaters in the world will be competing in the coveted World Cup Street Skating final, with skating legend Mike Vallely making a triumphant return to competitive skating.

Some of the best pro’s in the business will be representing at the Relentless Energy Drink NASS festival this year including some of the biggest names in Girl’s skating who will be hitting the Girzilla competition in association with Rubicon skateboards alongside action packed dirt bike jumping with BMX and MTB both showing off their distinctly different riding styles.
One of the highlights is the BMX competition which brings together the best in the world including Mark Webb, Harry Main and Ben Wallace and a wealth of the top UK and European riders who will be flying in straight from the FMB World Tour to treat the Relentless NASS crowds to a show they won’t forget, expect immense back flips to the sickest 360’s! Non-stop action is the name of the game.
